Handbook

The overall aim of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of elementary neural systems as they support processes related to learning, memory, cognition and emotion in the real world. Students will learn about contemporary theories and approaches to neuroscience, including the role of neuronal coding in learning and memory, and the role of different neural systems in supporting behaviour. Students will be able to gain an understanding of the neuroscience of cognitive and emotional function, and how these may play a role in human behaviour and performance in a range of settings.
