Handbook

This is an applied course covering two of a project's four global phases: planning and execution. The objective of the course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to play a leadership role over these parts of a project's life. Research suggests that a large proportion of projects fail because of inadequate planning and management. The course explores methods, tools and techniques to support the effective management of projects (regardless of setting). This is a "companion" to ZBUS8147: The Business of Managing projects. While neither is a pre-requisite for the other, participants are assumed to have had some exposure to projects (commercial, social, government or defence).
