Overview

The Bachelor of Economics /Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours) program enables students to complete an in-depth course of study in advanced mathematics from within UNSW Science which complements the economics program offered by the School of Economics in the UNSW Business School.

Double Degree Structure

Students must complete 240 UOC.

These UOC are made up of:

Economics Component (96 UOC)

  1. Introductory Business Core (6 UOC) 
  2. Economics Core Courses (48 UOC) 
  3. Economics Electives (30 UOC)
  4. Business School Electives (12 UOC)

Students may choose to use their Economics core and elective courses to complete an optional Economics major. Courses for the major are taken once but also meet core and elective course rules where listed. 


Bachelor of Advanced Mathematics (Honours) (144 UOC)
1. An approved Advanced Mathematics (Honours) major and
2. SCIF1131;
3. 48 units of credit Honours Year; and
4. Science elective courses
