Interior Architecture Technics 3 focuses on developing your understanding of the material and the constructional idea of structure, substrate, and skin in a small-scale interior element. You will explore the application of materials in conventional and non-conventional details as informed by aesthetics, functionality, and environmental sustainability. You will develop core considerations of small-scale interior details, such as size, format, edges, junctions, and fixings. You will explore and resolve the constructional and compositional application of materials of a small-scale interior element. Through this process, you will develop an understanding of the role of an interior architect versus the builder/consultant and the coordination between the three. You will communicate your understanding through a detailed technical documentation set as per industry standards. This course is designed to be completed alongside all other Year 2 Interior Architecture (Hons) course and Interior Technics courses.
