This course examines the principles and practices of human rights in relation to questions of sex and sexual relations. In particular, the focus of the course is on the adequacy and appropriateness of a human rights approach to justice in exploring those questions. These understandings will be further considered in relation to specific areas such as discrimination, harassment, pornography, prostitution/sex work and trafficking, abortion, sexual violence and rape.
