Overview

Fluid dynamics arises in many different fields of science and engineering. Predicting weather, designing ships and other vehicles, improving building safety, and positioning wind farms are all large scale practical applications of fluid mechanics.  This course will work on the foundations of theoretical fluid dynamics. Many fluid dynamics problems are … For more content click the Read More button below. A computational project, which aims to simulate some fluid motion, is a theme throughout the course. Students will learn the fundamental equations of fluid motion, the computational techniques to approximate the solution to those equations, write a solver to conduct simulations using Matlab, and finally report on their findings.
