The course explores modern Japanese History from the imperial restoration of 1868 to after the Pacific War from an interdisciplinary perspective. Conditions for Enrolment

Prerequisiste: 48 UOC overall, including 6 UOC at level 1 and 6 UOC at level 2 in one of the following streams, Asian Studies, Gender Studies, or History; or 48 UOC overall, including 12 UOC in Japanese Studies language courses
