Description
This course aims to offer students the opportunity to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of estimating building costs and the competitive bidding practices. Students will engage with some of the key concepts that underpin the estimating and bidding practices in the construction industry. The syllabus comprises: different methods of cost estimating, cost planning and cost analysis, first principles estimating, the competitive bidding practices in the industry, contractors’ bidding strategies and competitor analysis in construction bidding.
