Description
This course explores and critically analyses environment/spatial design as a social, cultural and historical phenomenon. Students will develop projects to explore the cultural contexts of the built environment and investigate important theoretical debates and new trends of practice. Advanced CAD, computer programs and other means will be used as effective tools in the research, design and development of projects.
To undertake this course students should have completed, or have one of the following:
48 UOC in Design related courses
SDES6720 Introduction to Environment/Spatial Design
Knowledge and skills in environment/spatial design and processes
Or equivalent
