Description
Subject Area: German Studies
In this course students reflect on their own past experiences accumulated through the coursework required for the major in German Studies. Students will demonstrate their skills and knowledge via oral presentations and written essays to be collected into a learning portfolio / ePortfolio that can serve as supplementary documentation for potential employers or further academic study. The course topics are drawn from those covered in language and contextual studies courses in the major. These topics include but are not limited to the following: cultural, social, political and historical developments in modern Germany in their European context; linguistic, cultural and social diversity in German-speaking Europe.
