Description


An interdisciplinary course emphasising the latest advances in chemistry. A diverse range of topics will be offered each year from which students will select four. Topics will vary depending on availability and interest. Indicative Topics: supramolecular chemistry and molecular recognition; synthetic strategies in organic chemistry; molecular modelling and drug design; organometallic chemistry; biosynthesis; solid-state chemistry; polymer structure and characterisation; introduction to chemometrics.

Note: Re CHEM3201 and CHEM3202 Topics in Contemporary Chemistry: A wide range of topics will be offered each year (8 - 12 depending on availability and interest). Students can select 4 topics (6UOC) or 8 topics (12UOC).
