The course provides an overview of the most important classes of financial contracts traded on over-the-counter exchanges between financial institutions and their clients in discrete time. Subsequently, the valuation and hedging of European and American options and general contingent claims are established. The proofs of the fundamental theorems of asset pricing for finite models of security markets which is central to the modern theory of derivative pricing are given.
