Description
This course will develop the skills and knowledge for designing, sizing and specifying hybrid renewable energy systems. Renewable energy systems covered include thermal, electrical and end use energy efficient systems. The course will cover technical characteristics of components, control strategies and system architecture, and the use of storage (thermal and electrical) and other demand‐side technologies. Students will learn how to use simulation tools to design and optimize systems, and apply these techniques to a case study.
