Description


This course provides an opportunity to study tropical architecture depth and in context. It includes a 5 day trip to Darwin and district, Northern Territory. Those undertaking this elective will develop independent research and technical analysis skills important in tropical architectural design and practice including: climatic, topographical, socio-economic, procurement, cultural communication, environmental and sustainability. There will also be an opportunity to study historical contemporary tropical architecture.

This is a student funded elective which means students pay for their own airfare, accommodation and living expenses. It is open to all students interested in tropical architecture. It is open to all post graduate students interested in tropical architecture.
