Description

The course develops advanced skills in multimedia authoring and 3D narratives. Students explore a range of multimedia technologies and their application in the areas of 3D, image manipulation, video, animation, and multimedia authoring. The major assignment is a computer game that incorporates prerendered 3D graphics and animation, as well as real-time 3D. Games are used as a vehicle to explore advanced areas of digital communication, user engagement and 3D representation. The project develops a greater appreciation of issues in game design and communication of ideas. In addition to the final game project, students are required to reflect on the subject, the skills and knowledge learned, and look at various avenues for use in their chosen profession.
